2016 Fall Show Announcement

The RCT Board of Directors would like to thank the cast and the directorial staff for their successful run of three productions of “Fiddler on the Roof” at the RACC Miller Center for the Performing Arts this past weekend – December 15 through December 17. Thanks are extended to the RACC Miller Center for the Performing Arts for use of their facility and staff, to Arethusa Designs for the lighting, to Zeus Light and Sound for the sound and to many people who contributed to the set construction, program publication, costumes and props. Finally thank you to all the patrons who attended the three shows for RCT does not exist without our loyal customers.

To help with the production costs for this show, RCT has established a GO FUND ME page. Tickets sales alone do not cover the production costs for our shows. All funds raised with go directly to RCT to offset the various production costs associated with this particular show. Please click on the GO FUND ME link at the right side of this page to donate. Reading Civic Theatre is also pleased to announce we have secured the rights for the following shows to be part of our 2018 season: “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” in September 2018 and “Annie” in December 2018!

On going fundraisers include :
– Did you hear that some of Broadway’s biggest shows are coming to the Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading, PA? We can save you money on your ticket purchase! Use the link on the right hand side of the page – SPAC Fund Raiser for RCT – and for each of these shows, you will save on the costly per-ticket convenience fees found online and a portion of all tickets purchased will go back to support the work of Reading Civic Theatre. Shows available include Catapult, Cirque Dreams Holidaze, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Russian Grand Ballet Presents The Nutcracker, The Wizard of Oz, Jersey Boys and Rent! Please enjoy these shows at the SPAC and purchase your tickets through the web site on the right to provide a portion of your ticket cost to RCT. Thank You in advance.

– RCT is excited to announce their partnership with Professional Makeup Artist: Maleeva F. Epperson (Footloose’s “Vi Moore”). It is our goal to provide multiple workshops and fundraisers throughout the year that are not only exciting, but informative. We hope to provide value and education to our RCT members in areas that are of interest to YOU. RCT held their first workshop, tailored to teaching holiday makeup tips and tricks for the everyday woman, on Saturday November 11, 2017. Maleeva has extensive experience in the Film and TV world and is excited to bring her knowledge to the RCT community.
